The average male gamer is 33 years old.
The average female gamer is 37 years old
We are a group of 30 something mates who love video games. We’ve all grown up with Atari’s and Nintendos. We now all have our careers, families and other hobbies as most average people in their 30’s do. But gaming remains an escape and a stress relief for us.
But we are average guys, so we might be able to squeeze an hour in here and there if we are lucky. Gone are the days of being able to play for hours at a time. Now we might get some time when the baby is having a nap, or when the wife goes out for brunch with the girls!
What we have noticed lately when looking at reviews of new games on youtube and other websites is that we regularly have a completely different experience with a game than these reviews do. Why is that?
Well, we think its because the people writing and creating these reviews do it for a living, so they play a game for hours and hours until completion and then write their review.
We’ve found that some issues expressed with some games mean absolutely nothing to us during the hour here and there we get to play. What makes a great game for us can sometimes be totally different to what makes a great game for a hard core 6 hour a day gamer.
Hence The Average Gamer Guys came about. This is a space where us mates will get our hands on games and review them from our recreational, average person, hour of gaming here and there point of view. For all of the average gamers out there!
